“Most of my clients no longer enjoy eating and view food as something to fear. My goal for each individual is to have a healthy relationship with food which is a balance between eating to meet nutritional needs, letting go of restrictions, rules, and negative emotions associated with food, and enjoying the social aspects of dining. When I sit down with a client, we discuss her or his individual relationship with food and identify the emotions and behaviors that the client wants to change. Recovery is a gradual, individual process which I highly respect. Each client receives an individualized treatment plan that is structured to her or his personal preference and acknowledges the underlying emotional and behavioral issues that need attention. When it comes to goal-setting, small but significant steps are the key to achieving the big picture!”
